COVID-19

BULLETIN

24th March 2020

All of you will have heard the announcement of the Prime Minister (and First Minister of Scotland) yesterday, establishing a form of ‘lockdown’ on the country, effective immediately.  This will be reviewed after three weeks, which takes us to Easter Monday.

Following on from this, I want to advise you of what it will mean for us as clergy, personally and in our ministry.  Please take some time to bring yourself up to date with the full Statement when you get the opportunity.

According to the announcement:

• Places of Public Worship are to be closed.  So, as of today our churches are closed to the public.  Some confusion has been caused around this by government Guidance issued late last night after the Statement and we are looking to clarify this but, for now, could we keep our churches closed.
